Meeting Rooms

There are 9 meeting rooms at Somerset House, which residents and Exchange members can hire at a discounted rate, for a half day or a whole day. 

All our meeting rooms are set up in boardroom style. 

All rooms have a screen with VGA & HDMI connectivity, Wi-Fi and a white board with pens.

To receive the residents' discount, the member must be the organiser, paying customer and in attendance thoughout the meeting.


To book: Please email, stating:
  • Company name
  • Name of person booking the room, including contact details (email and phone number)
  • Room preference (see full list below)
  • Date and time you wish to book
  • How many people would be attending
  • Any other relevant information related to access, additional facilities, VIPs attending etc. of which SHT should be aware

Additional Facilities


Conference Phone Conference call facilities are available to use, subject to availability. Use of the conference phone requires an account code unique to the tenant organisation.
*This facility requires at least one weeks’ notice to book.  Call costs will be recharged at the standard office rates via your standard billing process.


Internet The standard meeting room Wi-Fi is suitable for Skype, video conferencing and general browsing. If connections for live streaming, broadcasting or cabled internet is required, please state your specific requirements on application.
*This facility requires at least two weeks’ notice to arrange. Additional costs will apply and be billed under your standard payment terms


Tech Support 
(for Screening Room) 
If using the Screening Room equipment beyond connecting a laptop, dedicated technical support can arranged. This service is recommended if you are running a ticketed or more complex event to guarantee help is on hand if you have technical problems. 
*Regular IT support will be available Mon-Fri 09.00-18.00 for simple assistance. Technical support is dedicated and requires two weeks’ notice to arrange. Please enquire for prices.
Wheelchair Access  We have two wheelchair-accessible meeting rooms; The Courtyard Meeting Room and Nelson Meeting Room, both located in the South Wing.
*If you require wheelchair access, please notify us upon enquiry with plenty of notice (ideally two weeks, where possible).
Catering Hej Coffee provide a delivered catering service. To enquire about options, please contact directly. 



Express Meeting Room

West Wing 1 is our dedicated Express Meeting Room, for short one or two hour bookings (max).  

Pricing (for residents only) Introductory Offer: £35 per hour for your company’s first 2 bookings Standard: £40 per hour

Terms of Use
  • Standard Somerset House Meeting Room Terms and Conditions and Payment Terms apply (see below). 
  • The Express Meeting Room can be booked for a maximum of two consecutive hours. Longer bookings should take place in another meeting room (see list below)
  • Express Meeting Room rates are only redeemable in West Wing 1 
  • Meetings must be held during office hours 
    e.g. 08.30 – 18.00, Monday – Friday
  • To help us keep this room tidy and allow us to offer an hourly service, please switch off the screen after use, tidy the cables, push chairs under the table and wipe the whiteboard
  • West Wing Reception will knock on the door at the end of your scheduled booking time
  • No booked catering is permitted in the Express Meeting Room


Meeting Room Payment Terms For office-based residents, invoices will be issued monthly in arrears; standard payment terms apply.Exchange members and Somerset House Studio residents will be billed through the monthly Direct Debit system.Makerversity members will be billed in advance. Payment should be made ahead of the meeting.
